Ryan Cho, known professionally as Cho, is a director and 1st assistant director that also does production department work (Key Production Assistant, Production Assistant, etc.) for music videos, television shows, feature films, web series, events, etc. Born in San Jose, CA and raised in the Bay Area, he was a YouTube personality in his high school and college years in the Youtube film community creating video content (movie reviews, trailer reactions, blu-ray unboxings, vlogs, etc.) via filming, editing, acting, sound mixing and collaborating with other content creators. In high school, he enrolled in a film production high school class for 2 years creating short films, music videos, documentaries, etc. During his college years, he was in a Bachelor of Fine Arts program at San Francisco State University while also doing mental health advocacy work with Active Minds, having also created a film trilogy (documentary short subject and 2 music videos) of his high school and college mental health story. For a better quality of life and career, he moved to Los Angeles (his dream city) in 2018. He's always evolving his skills as a filmmaker and artist, while challenging himself with different projects and mediums of storytelling. He still does mental health advocacy from time to time and occasionally does acting and other film production department work (grip and electric, camera, etc.) to learn and immersive himself in all aspects of the film and entertainment industry.

Ryan Christopher Kotack was born on January 9,1987 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to Roseanna Kotack, a State Farm Insurance claims adjuster, and Calvin Kotack, President of Mrs.Fields Cookies Canada. When he was 7 years old, Ryan spent elementary school drawing children books inserting his classmates and teachers as characters. In his grade nine drama class, Ryan found a love for the stage performing as a tree in a tableaux. Ryan performed Shakespeare during lunch hours, hosted his high school talent show, and performed in community theatres.
