RJ Parrish has a zeal for acting that is rare and valuable. Whether he's on stage or off, he has been building a solid reputation as a 'bad boy'. His edgy look prompts the mysterious villain in his most recent role - an episode of HBO's highly anticipated action drama "Transporter: The Series" (2012). The Toronto born Actor was first noticed when he joined the cast of CBC's made for TV movie "Diverted" (2009). RJ played Ahmed, a young Arab passenger who was innocently trying to find his way to America, but with the devastation of September 11th, he would become stereotyped as a terrorist. This project was uniquely special for RJ. He was fortunate enough to meet the wonderful people of Gander, NFL and hear their personal accounts of the tragic events. He also had the opportunity to work alongside renowned British actor David Suchet, who imparted RJ with an appreciation for Shakespeare, which led him to the stage. RJ has captivated theatre audiences with his magnetic portrayal of Tybalt in Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". He has reprised the role with several different companies, offering a variety of interpretations of the show for more than 100,000 patrons. He has appeared as Tybalt throughout North America, including performances at the Tennessee Performing Arts Centre in Nashville and the highly respected Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre in Winnipeg. It was there in Winnipeg where he was touted by the media as, "a physically scary warrior, ever-ready to crush the enemy." Although RJ plays many bad-ass characters, he is an extremely calm and down to earth individual who prides himself on being determined and disciplined. He brings a personal flare to his artistic talent that draws from life's experiences as a launch pad for his creative appetite for acting.
